Q: How close is Little Beach House Sanibel to the beach? About 2 blocks. Fulgur Street public beach access and Donax Street public beach access are each a short walk (see maps). Q: Are we allowed to access the beach? Yes, there are multiple public access points to the beach, two of which are just down the street, shown on the maps. Should you want to drive, you will need to purchase a guest parking pass from Sanibel town hall. Click here for Sanibel island beach parks parking information. Generally, there is no street parking permitted on Sanibel Island.

Q: Can we rent by the day or week? Sanibel requires a minimum 28-day rental for single family homes.

Q: Can I bring my dog? We are pet-friendly for well-behaved and fully housebroken dogs that are 30 pounds or less, no more than two please. An extra fee will apply. You can have your dog on all Sanibel beaches, but they must be on a leash no longer than 8 feet at all times and you must clean up after them. It is also important to be aware that off-leash dogs may result in a ticket.

Q: Are you going to renovate the house? Built in 1984, the house is wonderful as is, but we do plan some renovations and upgrades to modernize and better weather storms.

Q: When are the renovations happening? The renovations are planned to start in late spring 2026 once the architect (husband) finishes taking notes from the finance manager (wife). No renovations will disturb guests and the home is available to rent immediately.

Q: Are there a lot of stairs at the house? The house is elevated, so yes, there are stairs to enter the home. There are no stairs inside, however, as it is a one-level home.
